A new 10-Year Plan has just been released, with a bold vision: more care in communities, fewer hospital waits, and a shift from treating illness to preventing it.
At Aneira, we’re already building this future — and we see every day how much it’s needed.
What's Changing?
Neighbourhood Health Services
- Care delivered on your doorstep - not just in hospitals.
- Centres open evening & weekends.
- Staffed by GPs, nurses, mental health workers, social care & more.
What it means for patients?
- Faster, more convenient access to care.
- Services under one roof.
- Rehab, diagnostics, mental health & social support nearby - closer to home.
Why its needed?
'At Aneira, we see everyday how much people want care that's local, personalised, & built around their lives - not the other way round. This plain is a vital step towards a future NHS that listens, prevents, & includes.'
- Dr Nikita Kanani
(Local GP, Chief Strategy & Innovation Officer Aneira Health)
What changes are being made?
The plan has 3 key shifts to move the NHS from:
- Hospital -> Community
- Analogue -> Digital
- Sickness -> Prevention
How Aneira delivers this?
Hospital -> Community:
- Offering women's health services in convenient, local settings - not hospital corridors.
- Providing joined-up care - from diagnostics to treatment - all under one roof.
- Flexible access trough a blend of in-person & virtual consultations.
Analogue -> Digital:
- We are technically enables, providing remote consultations.
- The Aneira app allows patients to:
- book consultations (self-referral)
- access results
- review health reports (myHealth).
- Use AI tools to support clinical teams - improve speed & quality.
Sickness -> Prevention:
- Embed prevention into every visit - from contraception to early cancer screening.
- Proactive health plans for commonly under-recognised issues like PCOS, menopause & pelvic pain.
- Support long-term health through behaviour change, education & continuous monitoring.
Every day, we hear from people who just want care that’s easier to access, more joined-up, and built around how their bodies actually work.
This NHS plan is a step in the right direction — and we’re proud to already be delivering progress at Aneira.
